What to expect when training with us?
Hi, my name is Clint. I’m the Golf Functional Movement Expert here at Integrated Core Exercise.
If you’ve landed on this page, you’re more than likely looking to improve your golf game. This could be because you’ve been experiencing pains and aches, you want to smooth out your swing, or you just want to be fitter and move better around the course.
I’d like to take a moment to explain exactly what we do here.
We are not Golf Pros – we are quite different from the lessons you get on the driving range. However, what we do works very well alongside your Golf Pro.
The best way to explain it is like this: Think of a race car driver.
If you were building a beautiful race car and wanted to learn to race, the Golf Pro is the instructor who teaches you how to drive. They tell you when to brake, when to accelerate, and what speeds to take the corners.
What I do is more like the Engineer and Mechanic. I make sure the car is perfectly balanced. I check that the brakes work, that the suspension is tuned, and that everything is running smoothly.
Because the truth is, you can be the best driver in the world, but if you get into a car that isn’t balanced, has bad shocks, or isn’t tuned up properly, it’s just not going to perform. No matter how good your driving skills are, the car won’t reach its full potential.
So, what we do here is put you through a full mobility assessment. I understand exactly what all 44 joints in your body need to do in three planes of movement to perform a golf swing.
We make sure you can get into your backswing, hold your finish, and have the mobility and ‘buffers’ you need right through the impact position.
I have over 250 exercises specifically designed to build mobility, stability, strength, and explosive power. Once we’ve got your body tuned up and you have a smooth pathway through your swing, we can then start to increase that power, balance, and stability. This helps you gain greater range and, ultimately, hit longer drives.
